Language processing chatbots rely on your prompts to generate the essay. The generated essay will not reflect the requirements set by Cambridge such as the terms and scope of the question; engagement with the question at a conceptual level; appropriate illustrations; relevance; balance; a measured and nuanced Conclusion.

In summary, the essay generated by AI often does not have developed analysis and evaluation of the issues. Our essays are crafted and honed from years of teaching and writing experience. They serve as excellent models for you to study the structure of a convincing argument while collating concrete examples for content! Read the 2023 Q3 sample answer below.

Know how to study GP

Simply reading without understanding what GP is will not be beneficial for you.

You need to first know that GP is not just about the English language but it is the usage of English to put your point across, succinctly.

Second, you need to pore over past years’ papers to pick up trends in terms of topics for both Paper 1 essay as well as Paper 2 comprehension passages. This gives you a direction towards what to study (areas of interest) and most importantly, what not to study.

Third, you need to decide on which countries you are going to focus on when you study and collate information for these countries. This will make you an expert on the countries. More than that, you will be able to broaden the scope of your paragraphs by citing examples from different countries. Make sure the countries you choose are representative of developed and less developed countries (DCs and LDCs) so that you will be able to draw inferences and evaluate (to show conceptual understanding, crucial for the new syllabus effective this year).
